It takes just one pair of little hands to plant a single seed, but many more are needed to make that happen in school gardens across the country.

Whole Kids Foundation has awarded $4.2 million in garden grant funds to 2,100 schools since 2011. They recently announced a new crop of more than 500 additional schools to receive grants in 2014. In honor of Earth Month, Whole Kids Foundation and Whole Foods Market® stores are partnering with seven corporate sponsors to host spring garden parties at 75 schools. These gatherings will celebrate shared successes and recognize the many hands that join together to make school gardens possible: students, families, teachers, volunteers, Whole Foods Market employees and shoppers, as well as corporate partners.
