  1. Drive smart. Try walking, riding a bike or combining car trips (or people) to cut back on one of the worst contributors to carbon dioxide in our atmosphere…transportation.

  2. Bring it. You’re already using reusable bags, but what about bringing your own coffee mug and water bottle when you leave home too? Reduce single-use packaging waste by toting reusable containers.

  3. Pack your lunch. Reduce food waste opens in a new tab and single-use packaging by packing just what you want and only what you’ll eat for lunch…even if it’s just a few days a week.

Go Team!
The Earth is awesome. Period. So let’s celebrate the strides we have all made in recent years to keep it that way. At Whole Foods Market, we’re gradually converting our truck fleet to biodiesel fuels, reducing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. Our fleet is also being fitted with aerodynamic aprons to cut down on wind resistance resulting in less fuel consumption. These trucks also use a fuel-saving (and emissions-cutting) system that allows the engine to be turned off completely at loading and delivery, rather than remain idling.
