This year I am going back to walking as much as I can. I got hit by a car while walking across a street at a crosswalk and have been sitting around too much while recovering. I've been putting on the pounds and can't wait to take it off. Have a great new year too.

More living Plant Strong in 2013! Unfortunately, Rip's awesome Engine 2 salsa has done nothing to help curb my chip addiction, but it's worth every bite!

For the New Year I will be trying to eat dark leafy greens six times a day--just like your dad suggests to all his patients! Trying to increase my nitric oxide levels!

"Forks Over Knives" - we bought the book after watching the video from the library. Mike had 3 stints put in his heart last Spring, and we have made RADICAL dietary changes. As they say, "You are what you eat!" Another great video is, "Food Inc." After watching these two videos, you can't help but change your lifestyle, if you care about your health!!

I loved reading this book and trying the recipes. My favorite are the Mighty Muffins which I make in batches and store in the freezer so I always have them ready. For the new year I want to try more of the healthy suggestions from Engine 2. I have already started walking daily and plan to increase my time. Shopping at Whole Foods has helped to make healthier food choices. Here's to a wonderful, healthy fruits and veggie new year!

I have been reducing my consumption of animal-based products and seen amazing results. The Engine2 diet and products are a great source of inspiration and information.

Thanks to Whole Foods Market for leading the way and opening the door to HEALTH STARTS HERE and Rip Esselstyn!
