Imagine Chicken BrothUPDATE: Thank you to everyone that entered! Congratulations to our random winner, Ana M. from Texas! At Whole Foods Market®, we love sharing good food and drink. Whether it’s peak-of-the-season fruit, a team member creation from our bakery, or a new grocery discovery, we love celebrating great flavors and products. But we don’t just want to tell you about it; we want you to enjoy it too, which is why we’re giving it away!  Read on to find out how you could win some free stuff.

When prepping your kitchen for the holiday season, stock up on pantry staples for stress-free entertaining and cooking. One of the handiest ingredients to have is chicken (or veggie) broth. Broth is the foundation of dozens of holiday recipes! When you don’t have time to make it from scratch, reach for great premade options like Imagine Organic Free-Range Chicken Broth. (They also make tasty vegetarian options.)

Here are some of our favorite fall dishes that feature broth:

You can add quick flavor to a meal by substituting broth for water in any recipe that calls for cooking grains like rice, quinoa, or millet.  Use broth to pull together quick soups – just add veggies and some pasta and voila – instant crowd-pleasing meal. You could go through a case in no time at all! So, if you win this Fall Giveaway, what will you do with your case of Imagine Broth?

Tell us what recipes you’ll make with your case of broth in the comments below by Friday, November 23th.  We’ll pick a winner at random to receive a case of Imagine Organic Free-Range Chicken Broth or Imagine Organic Vegetable Broth (your choice of regular or low-sodium).

The fine print: No purchase necessary. Promotion ends November 23, 2012, 11:59 PM CDT. Must be a legal resident of the US or Canada (except in Quebec, where it is void) age 18 or older to participate. Taxes on prize, if applicable, are the responsibility of the winner. To win this would be an early Christmas present ! I buychicken broth by the case because I use it in most dishes - it just adds flavor. I have a new squash casserole (squash, onions, boiled eggs, asparagas, etc) that I would make first and then it goes in the green beans, mashed potatoes, stuffing and any soup and dip that I make ! Oh how I would love to win !! My dinners always include chicken broth.

Oh, my new years recipe in lieu of Hoppin John....stewed tomatoes with chicken broth (just enough to cover the peas), add the peas when tomotoes cook down, add your favorite sausage (optional; and for those that do not eat so healthy - smoked neckbones or turkey), and steam the okra on top of the peas (keep okra whole). Eat over rice or without the rice ! The flavor however is in the broth !!

I make lots of soups with Imagine chicken broth: vegetable & bean, chicken noodle, turkey, squash, and as many varieties as I can "imagine." I also use the broth to cook brown and wild rice for curry, stir fries, pilafs, and chicken accompaniments. I also use it to thin gravy for roast chicken or turkey. It's one of the staples in my kitchen!

I'd definitely make soup and sauces. The pumpkin risotto recipe sounds fantastic too. I just made my first (real, stirring the whole time) risotto a few weeks ago and will be doing it more often.

I make a chicken broth potato soup w kale and butter that's yum. I also make a dairy-free cheese sauce for potato fries that uses chicken broth that's also yum. And of course I make a chicken broth vegetable soup, a chicken/noodle soup, and a chicken pepper pot soup that has tabasco hot sauce which are all yummy cold weather dishes. And, of course, chicken broth is important for the Thanksgiving stuffing.

Whenever I have left over cooked veggies and grains from the day before, I combine the them with Imagine Organic Free-Range Chicken or Vegetable Broth to have a ready made soup for lunch that day! It seems no matter what it is that I combine with the broth it tastes awesome. Served with a salad and viola! There's lunch for the family!

I use chicken broth in place of water for almost everything! On of my favorite tricks is to cook my pasta in chicken broth. It flavors the pasta and I can use the strained broth for soups and stews or, this time of year, to moisten stuffing!

I would make crock pot beans, I like to use a hamhock and Peruvian beans. I would also make butternut squash soup with mild Italian turkey sausage and I would make rice, I always make my rice with chicken broth, bay leaves, one or two peppercorns, and garlic in a microwave rice cooker. It turns out great.

I'd make more chicken and rice soup (wheat-free) for the freezer "just in case" a winter virus finds our house, then make some more wild rice with chicken and mushroom soup, and experiment with some more soups to feed the family this winter.
