Korean Comfort Food

One of the tastiest steadily rising trends Google reported was bibimbap. Warm rice is topped with cold and cooked vegetables, and occasionally tofu, sliced meat, seafood or an egg. If you’re lucky, it’s served in a hot stone bowl with a splash of sesame oil so that the rice continues to cook, forming a crispy golden crust on the bottom. One of the most important ingredients in a good bowl of bibimbap is gochujang opens in a new tab, a Korean red pepper paste that you add on top, right before mixing and digging in with a pair of Korean-style metal chopsticks.
