Recently, John Mackey got together with Dr. Marc Gafni to discuss common themes from their newly released books. John Mackey, along with co-author Raj Sisodia, lays out a bold blueprint for capitalism in Conscious Capitalism: Liberating the Heroic Spirit of Business. Philosopher, visionary scholar, and wisdom teacher Dr. Marc Gafni takes the age-old teachings of enlightenment and updates them into compelling, relevant and powerful tools for living a life of success and significance in Your Unique Self: The Radical Path to Personal Enlightenment. In this 7-part series, John and Marc share their thoughts on: creativity, the unique self, conscious capitalism, love, obligation, jealousy and shadow.

Jealousy can really mess things up. What causes jealousy and what is the most effective strategy to overcome it in your life?

I really enjoyed this topic being discussed. I, like everyone on the face of the planet struggle to transform unhealthy emotions into peaceful, nurturing and creative ones and it's really nice that two gentlemen can sit down and hash it out in a pleasant manner. Keep blogging! You have fan. Currently, I a TM at Whole Foods Market Wilcrest in Houston, TX. Gotta' show the love to my company....

Another way to deal with Envy is to run down a mental gratitude list. If I find myself feeling envyous, I am unhappy when feeling this and if I will create a mental list of what I am grateful for this always changes my perspective of I don't have IT or enough to I have plenty and I'm grateful.

John, thank you not only sharing a few important virtues with us in you conversation with Dr. Gafni but also for helping people understand how to transition from the bi-product of said virtues, disruptive, evil thoughts and turning those internal issues into positive feelings were one can become constructive and successful with the right knowledge.
