What's New in February?

By Allison Burch, February 19, 2013  |  Meet the Blogger  |  More Posts by Allison Burch

Every month, we are pleased to add many new products to our shelves that have passed the testing and tasting and met our strict Quality Standards. (That means they’re free of hydrogenated fats and artificial preservatives, colors and flavors - wahoo!) And each month, we choose a dozen or so to call to your attention. Here are a handful of new products — or new varieties of old favorites — that we think you'll especially enjoy.

Read on -- one of our vendor partners, Amy’s Kitchen, is giving away a free “case” their new Light & Lean Quinoa & Black Bean Bowl to one of our lucky readers. UPDATE: Thanks to everyone that entered! Congratulations to our randomly chosen winner, Aimee M.!

I love I discovered the Food Should Taste Good brand and fell in love. I love goodies and snacks, but I don't find one very often that likes me. I also fell in love with Kefir it's my "yogurt", but better.

I'm at the store almost every day, and I challenge myself to keep trying new things, it's a food safari! I have been struck by the love arrow, and have fallen hopelessly in love with Colombia Gorge Organic Carrot Juice. I tend to avoid the products a little more pricey than others, but in keeping with experimenting, I tried this orange juice, it is a little bit more pricey than the others, but It is SOOOO good, the best of all the carrot juices I've tried, and I think I've tried all the commercial ones! It is very sweet, the carrots they use must be the top of the line. It is so fresh it sings!!! It was a good kick in the pants to not try just the cheapest, sometimes the little bit more another brand costs is well worth it. So many high quality carrots go into that juice, no padding with 'ol horse carrots!!! That kick in the pants has awakened me up to try some new products I've avoided just because they may be a little more. I recently tried Columbia Gorge's CoGo bars, yummy! I never get tired of adventuring down the aisles - always something new to try!!!! LUV Whole Foods!!!

Happy that I have discovered your store and that you are not to far from me ( in the same county). I have been looking for Kale Chips and don't have time to make them, so these are great for a snacker. Looking forward to trying new items out as I see something that hits me. I like being able to make a quick meal that doesn't take a great deal of time unless it's on the weekend.

My new favorite find is the boom chicka pop popcorn! That stuff is awesome when I'm really craving something sweet, but don't want to stick my face in cupcake or bowl of ice cream after dinner. Not that I do that anyway... Not too sweet, nice and crunchy, and pretty low in calories. Yay for a fun new whole grain snack!

I personally drink soy milk a lot. But my kids don't like the taste and so I have to buy other "milk" products for them. I've tried the Engine 2 Almondmilk recently and both my kids and I loved it. Now, I don't have to buy separate carton of "milk" products and save some space in the fridge for more fruit and vegetables. Yay!
