Slightly warmed dates with cashew butter are a delightful snack. Or there's always cheese to nibble on.

My favorite snack? It's a toss-up between frozen organic blueberries or peanut butter on whole wheat grain product (bread, bagel, other) topped with cinnamon, banana slices, and more cinnamon. Lots of cinnamon, yum!

I'm a big cheese and cracker fiend, not the Easy Cheese and Ritz cracker kind though. I like a good sharp cheddar slice with multi grain seasoned crackers of a wide variety.

I make parfaits by mixing cooked bulghar with honey and spoon the mixure into an individual clear dish and alternate spoonfuls of the honeyed bulghar with blueberries and/or strawberries, then 2% greek yogurt, then bulghar, fruit, and yogurt again. There's fiber in the bulghar, calcium in the yogurt, and antioxidants in the blueberries. Very healthy and satisfying as a snack or dessert.

My favorite healthy snack is freshly washed baby carrots. I also like to have green peppers sliced and ready to eat on the go. Or just an apple, pear or nectarine and lots of bottled water will do.

I have to admit that I am a huge Doritos fan. I don't know if it is the fake salty cheese or the super addictive MSG, but I am totally addicted. So when I found out that Kettle brand made a tortilla chip remotely close I ran to Whole foods to try them. I have been so pleased with Tias because they are not so salty and they come in a range of yummy flavors that surpass the Doritos with all their imperfections. Anyone looking to detox needs to try them!

I actually have two favorites: hummus with pita chips and a delicious apple sliced and dipped in creamy, smooth peanut butter. Both are loaded with protein and keep you full until dinner time!

My kids love to snack on spinach after school. Add a few spritz's of butter and some balsamic vinegar and they think it's great. I have to hide a bag of frozen spinach in our deep freeze to make sure I have spinach for dinner plans.

Banana "ice cream". Freeze a ripe banana and then blend it in a food processor. It will crumble at first, but then will blend into a smooth and delicious "ice cream" like texture. Add a teaspoon of peanut butter if you like and enjoy this healthy snack.

Cut fresh figs in half drizzle with some honey and bake in the oven until soft. sprinkle with chopped almonds. Or for an extra special treat add some goat cheese on top of the figs then drizzle honey and bake until soft.
