Many people “go natural” when they have a baby, but what about later on? If raising your kids “green” has proved to be a challenge, tune in for simple ways and reasons to choose natural products. This highly respected eco-entrepreneur talks about makeup, deodorant, toothpaste and supplements from her own mothering experience. Lynda Fassa is the founder of Green Babies, the oldest existing organic cotton clothing company on the planet, and author of Green Babies and Sage Moms.

this is AWESOME!! I LOVE the book green babies sage moms!!! yay for this. I'm a holistic health counselor, meaning - a food and lifestyle expert and yes, this is amazing stuff. we need more of this EVERYWHERE!! I've been using natural products - and one day i had to use a conventional shampoo and the fragrance was SO STRONG - so like the comment you said about having to use conventional toothpaste that one time the flavor was REALLY STRONG! I AGREE!!! It's not good to be breathing in or tasting those STRONG fragrances and flavors. KUDOS to YOU!!

Weleda is the best product I have found for babies and kids! I have been having trouble finding their Diaper cream at your stores, do you no longer carry it? It is like gold when a rash appears.

Do you know if fluoride is considered good or bad for kids? I always wonder about this when they use traditional toothpaste.

It is amazing to me how kids little systems respond so much to anything we put in or on them. Whether it is sugar, or homeopathic medicine, sun cream or tooth paste, everything has a huge affect, so it is truly important to consider which products they are exposed to.
