I will always love Elton John. I loved Harry Chapin, RIP. My tastes are very eclectic, however. One of my favorite CD's is Celtic Tides, a Putamayo CD.

So many favorites, but currently my body heats up and mind connects when I hear nearly any song by Incubus. Closer to home, I'll forever be in love with Dave Matthews or Norah Jones when I need a quiet calm--although Portishead and Massive Attack worked similarly during my grad school years!

There are so many talents to endorse, but I will forever adore the music and songs of Carole King. IMO she's one of the best American singer/songwriters of all time!

I have enjoyed many of Putamayo's music and especially liked the lullaby's when my son was younger. They remain in my head to this day. Thank you for the beautiful music from around the globe.

I really like Kate Rusby, an English folksinger who comes up with original songs that fit right in with traditional ballads and ditties.

I listen to KGNU for I am often inspired by sounds from all over the world and they play such a variety that I find expands my mind in how I look at the world. Just as the philosopher Ayn Rand wrote that looking at art expands the mind by opening up to things you have never seen, I feel different sounds do also.

I really liked a cd titled "Peña". I don't know if it is a group but I think it is a collection of street singers in Lima, Peru.
