What’s With That Holiday Table?

By Marla Camp, November 1, 2010  |  Meet the Blogger  |  More Posts by Marla Camp
Have you ever been in our stores during the fall, walked by our Holiday Table and wondered, “What the heck is that? What are those people doing?” Well, the short answer is: “Those people are making their holidays less stressful.” Who couldn’t use some of that? We put together this video to help show how the team members at our Holiday Table can help make things easier for you.
Did you know you can order just a few dishes to complement your homemade ones? Did you know you can order a single meal for a vegetarian guest while you prepare turkey for the others? Did you know that our team members will help you find recipes to try? Yep, all that and more. (Yes, you can order the whole meal too!) Stop by the Holiday Table in your local store to find out how we can help make the season stress-free for you!

All of our stores offer a complete turkey dinner package (which is AMAZING). And most stores should have already launched their holiday table, which is where you can place your order. You should contact your local store to see if they've begun!

I was wondering what comes with a vegetarian meal. Do you cook Tofurkey or some other form of "fake meat"? Are their sides? Thanks!

I have already ordered four complete turkey dinners to go on Thanksgiving. We are staying at a hotel a few blocks from your store. I do have a microwave in our suite, but I am hoping the turkey, as well as the sides will be ready to eat (at least warm if not hot) when I arrive with the feast. What do you think?

The holiday meal packages are refrigerated before you pick it up. And the turkey will require approximately 1 and a half hours of reheating.

Our holiday product selection varies from store to store. The best thing to do is contact your local meat counter or holiday table to find out if that will be available.

The first year I ordered my full Thanksgiving meal from Whole Foods, my son and his family said it was the best Thanksgiving Day celebration they could ever remember! When asked why - they said it was the first Thanksgiving they could remember spending so much time together! We sat in front of the fire sharing our shrimp appetizer, played guitar on the patio - singing and laughing a lot (while the turkey and sides were heating in the oven) and then made coffee to go with our fabulous pies. It was indeed the best Thanksgiving ever. Now we have a new tradition, Whole Foods takes care of the fabulous Thanksgiving Day meal and we spend all our time together enjoying the holiday!

Looking to pick up a cooked turkey breast on the Monday (Nov. 22) before Thanksgiving. Any idea how long the turkey will stay fresh in the fridge? Should it be frozen? What's the best eat by date?
