Lemonade reminds me of my childhood with the sun beating down on my friends and I as we sold it on the corner in Queens. I introduce this time honored traditions with my boys. I loved the look on their face with each glass they sold and drank. Lemonade goes with summer like sand, the smell of fresh cut grass and the sun warming your face.

I prefer to make my lemonade with a French twist by mixing sparkling lemonade soda, organic from concentrate frozen lemonade (or newmans own in a carton), and some lavender extract. C'est le meilleur!

Strawberry lemonade! I bet my 2-1/2 year old grandson would fill his piggy bank selling lemonade with these ingredients! Who wouldn't buy healthly lemonade from a toddler?

I love a variation on Kir royale; champagne or other brut sparkling wine mixed with Campari, with a lemon twist. It’s just so good and not too sweet... Non alcoholic, has to be iced coffee, which we make by the vat at my catering biz, and iced green tea, also made by the vat.

The first really hot day of summer requires a blueberry or raspberry lemonade cooler. You need a splash of blueberry or raspberry juice mixed with lemonade and sparkling ice. Then float a few frozen berries on top to enhance the taste. For the adventureous, add a jigger of rum and find a hammock under your favorite tree.Happy Summer Days!

Without a doubt, the drink that reminds me of summer is sun tea sweetened with just a touch of white clover honey. I'm tempted to make some today, just thinking of it. :)

Well, the kids and I would make some chilly lemonade and snacks, then pinic, in a shady spot and Fairchild Gardens and enjoy the day.
