Blend up a fabulous honeydew lime cooler! Add in a bit of fresh lemon basil from the garden and you have a chilling, relaxing, refreshing and HEALTHY beverage to make that summer day even more memorable - paired with a fresh salad and home baked croutons - even better! ;-)

I'm a sucker for pink lemonade - that little bit of extra sweetness but still just as refreshing as regular lemonade! I don't drink alcohol any longer, but when I did, I would have said a Pimms - so British and tasty! :)

My kids like to set up a lemonade stand at the GIANT Tabor House tag sale AIDS fundraiser held every July in west hartford--they donate all of the proceeds to that charity

Summer Sangria! With a little bit of agave nectar (365 brand!) to sweeten the deal!

Jennifer Ellis says …

I love to make a virgin strawberry Margarita. Take frozen strawberries, fresh lime juice and a touch of water - just enough to make the blender work - and zizz it all up. Take the used lime and rub the cut along the rim of the glass and dip it in sugar. Pour in the beverage and put a lime wedge on the edge. You can add some sugar too if you like it sweeter. So fast and easy and good! Of course, you can add liquor instead of water if you're of age and want a bit more of a party drink. :)

Sangria!

One half cold lemonade, one half sweet tea. Yummy Southern treat!

A glass of sparkling Muscato is my light, refreshing beverage of choice in the summer months (OK, and winter too :P) :)

Our favorite summer drink is frozen(slushy)lemonade. It's healthier when you make it yourself. Since we live in Florida and have many hot summer nights it more nutritious than other icecream treats. My kids have just started saving for their own laptop and would love to start a summer business! Good luck to them!!!

Prickly pear lemonade is my favorite. 2 prickly pear fruit, 1/2 cup lemon juice, 2 tablespoons sugar and ice! On the weekends, add an ounce of grey goose pear vodka.

My husband and I blend a rice-milk smoothie by using Rice Dream vanilla rice milk, ice, bananas, a tablespoon of honey and Kahlua or Amaretto to taste.

Summer... seems like it's never going to get here (if you live in Chicago). So as we anticipate the warm days we pop open the refrigerator and poor a tall glass of Organic Mango Green Tea. The kids love the color and I love that its not only cheap but a healthy alternative to the ever popular kids drinks out on the market today. When the tea runs out and we are waiting for a new pot to brew we pop open the Peach Lemonade from Santa Cruz. Sooo refreshing!

Jennifer says …

I enjoy iced tea with lemon and Sugar in the Raw.

Deb says …

Sun tea! Yum YUM!!!!!

Lynne C says …

I taught my youngest daughter how to make homemade lemonade. If I have some oranges or limes, I will add the juice of those too. It's a delicious dose of antioxidants that my kids drink without even thinking about the health benefits. For the grown ups, add a shot or two of some top-shelf vodka and enjoy!!

Sandra Hartung says …

Sun tea

Katerina Jungels says …

My absolutely favorite summer beverage is an "SCO Margarita"! 35 ml Cazadores Reposado tequila 20 ml Triple Sec 15 ml Santa Cruz Organic Limeade or Lemonade Shake all the ingredients with ice or without. Then pour into a glass. Salud!

Lisa Mathis says …

I like to serve up suntea with fresh sliced lemons

Leilani says …

Sounds easy, but I guess that's what's great about nature - I buy young coconut from Whole Foods, the ones that are uncut. Once they're refrigerated, I use a chef's knife to pierce a hole in the "eyes" of the coconut - it takes about a second. I pour the coconut juice in glasses, then crack the coconut open and scoop out the meat and put that into the glasses as well. It's so easy, so refreshing, and so delicious!

half lemonade and half herbal ice tea!

Michael Barton says …

From Whole Foods, I love the 365 Orange Cream Soda, but otherwise, banana is the flavor of the summer for me...banana smoothies and banana mocha blended coffee! Pumpkin Spice for Fall and Winter, Apple and Berries for Spring, and Bananas for summer. Call me weird but that's my flavors :)

Phyllis says …

Hmmm. I thought I was the only one that, knowing how much kids love soda, added a spritz of club soda or ginger ale to lemonade. Ugly made, young faces turn into smiling, happy faces. Bubbles have a way of doing that.

Carrie says …

I love having any beverage with fresh mint from my garden!

Amy says …

Unsweetened iced tea, straight from the brewer!

Rebecca says …

Iced green tea is our favorite summer beverage...with a little fresh mint! Delish!

Jerri McInnis says …

I love it all but the sweet tea is my fave!!!

Jacinta says …

The trick to the perfect sweet-tart lemonade is to make a simple syrup. You don't have to fight the sugar to dissolve it, and it gives the lemonade a delightful "cooked sugar" taste. I also add lemon zest to my syrup when it's on the stove for that wonderful extra kick of flavor. And I've been known to add pureed strawberries, rasberries, or blackberries for a special treat.

Anto Butler says …

My daughter loves to do lemonade stand during summer; we buy fresh organic lemond, squeeze them addd some organic cane sugar, not too much ; have some fresh mint leaves at the side to put in every cup.We made sign to put in the HWY, and she takes her cat with her; she dance with her lemonade sign most of the time; tons of FUN

Jo Duran says …

This is tough but I like the simple sun tea with crushed iced and a "just picked" mint tea. No sugar. Just cold and graced with some mint. It's so good 'cause I made it myself and picking mint right on the spot makes the whole thing just right.

I grew up with a lemon-mint slush that my dad would make with fresh squeezed lemonade and mint leaves out of our garden. SO good, and it just tastes like summer to me.

Cold lemonade with green matcha tea! Yummmmmmm... :)

Kerri Stewart says …

I have two favorite summer beverages that I like to make with the girls. The first, of course, is Lemonade. I taught my girls how to make it & they love to help squeeze the lemons. Or 2nd favorite summer beverage is Sun Tea. After a few hours in the sun, and a few dozen "Is it ready yet Mommy?", this delicious beverage is brewed to perfection. One summer, it was so hot outside that the Sun Tea was ready after only a few minutes.

Michelle Young says …
