My guaranteed recipe for a great day(week, month) at the beach: 1. Take a slow stroll down Whole Foods produce aisle and pick the best fruits to make fruit kabobs. 2. Add hummus, veggies and pita chips. 3. Stop by the salad bar and add some protein. 4. Chill lots of lemon water, iced tea, and maybe an adult beverage or two. 5. Pack the above on ice and add sunscreen, beach gear, friends and your smile. 6. Take to your nearest beach, unpack, chillax and enjoy. 7. Repeat as needed. Happy Summer !!!

Before going to the beach I always make sure to freeze bottled water; not only does it help keep other items cold but then I have ice cold water to drink all day as the hot sun slowly melts it. This along with fresh fruit salad, salty potato chips and deli sandwichs make for a great refreshing lunch as I'm building castles in the sand with the family.
