When we go out on the river I make avocado, tomato and onion sandwiches. We take a bottle of wine or two, some cheese and fruit. That makes a nice summer evening.

I spend mornings out on the beach doing sea turtle research and it certainly gets hot mid-summer. I have lots of water, of course,and fresh chilled pineapple always does the trick for me.

I like to take the same things I took as a kid. Fig bars, plums, apples, nectarines, pretzels, chipss, and a sandwich, usually something easy that I have in the house and of course a ton of water.

When our family decides to descend upon the great blue we like to take healthy, simple, tasty snacks and beverages to consume! With my kids cold green grapes and watermelon are must. I bring healthy chips and guacamole dip for the adults! To quench our thirst, flavored waters and refreshing fruit juices for the family. Sometimes for a special sweet treat my son and I will make Chocolate chip cookies or Low calorie Fudge brownies ;) For practicing safe sun play, I will bring loads of sunblock and protective sun wear! The bigger the beach towels the better. My husband always brings our loud and colorful rainbow beach umbrella to protect us from all day sun exposure. Wishing everyone a SAFE and memorable beach summer season!!!

I love having a pesto salad with organic cherry tomatoes, arugula/watercress or a pesto sandwich with grilled chicken. Some delicious stevia sweetened lemonade or mixed fruit cocktail.

The best snacks for the beach are Vitamin Water, cubed watermelon, and 365 dried papaya or pineapple! It keeps me hydrated and satified on a hot summer day!

I brong a cold salad made of Red quinoa, chickpea gravy, steamed kale/orange cauliflower, crispy tempeh bacon and fresh herbs--it is ALWAYS a hit!

I love to bring lots of fresh cut tropical fruit (mangoes, pineapple) and berries--anything that's bite-size! Also, it's important to keep hydrated with lots of water with lemon slices. Don't forget the sweet potato tortilla chips.

My favorite foods to take to the beach are fruits- esp. watermelon, cantelope, honeydew and of course lots of water. I also like to carry a couple of LARA bars, I love them.

I love summer! These are the best days of the year, and I love taking these things to the backyard pool or the beach... Nothing beats great treats for a day at the beach! To start, I would pack ziploc bags with salty seasame snax, great out of the cooler, even better, warmed by the sun. I'd also include individual bags of frozen grape for a refreshing taste, lots of H20 and some Honest Tea...and of course, some Stoneyfield fruit yogurt (frozen overnight) for a protein fix...yummy, where's my flipflops!!
