Of course, you have to have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (some with gluten free bread!). They don't go bad in the heat and what kid does not like PB&J! Throw some fresh fruit and water in the cooler, and a giant bag of chips, and life's a beach!

I like to take chicken that I had cooked the night before and has been in the refrigerator and a garden salad. Cold watermelon, grapes and lots of water! For a special treat homemade peach ice cream.

Plenty of water - often with a splash of orange juice in it. Fruits & veggies such as watermelon, grapes, green peppers and cucumbers are refreshing beach snacks when kept on ice.

When going to the beach with the whole family I like to take some fresh fruits and veggies, a protein snack such as string cheese, granola bars and bottled water. If it's just my husband and me we'd take some crackers, cheeses, fruit and a great bottle of wine (if the rules of the beach allow, of course).

I like to take to the lake side, plenty of water, some snacks (organic fruit, granola of a trail mix. I have an organic cotton towel to rest on, and some sun/bug screen. Like you said-Life's a beach.

I love going to the beach; whether it is the lake or the ocean!! Some of my family's favorite things to take to the beach are fresh frit, especially watermelon and pineapple! We also love taking trail mix with dried fruits and nuts. We never forget drinks too; it is super important to stay hydrated!
