My favorite foods to take to the beach are fruits and vegetables. That way i won't feel guilty when i find the random food available there at say a hotdog stand :-)

We love to take pizza to the beach. We make it the day before and then eat it cold on the beach.

I enjoy spending time on the East Coast beaches. The blue skies, puffy clouds & waves really recharge my soul. Cold baked chicken, fruit, water & a soft serve ice cream are traditional foods. British mysteries & magazines are my usual reading.

I love the beach. We pack, turkey (nitrate free) and cheese sandwiches on a whole grain roll, some fresh fruit and baked or popped chips, and last but not least, some nuts.

First of all, I pack ANYTHING cold to drink! After that, my choices of food are based on how quickly I can eat them before getting sand EVERYWHERE! :) fruit, sandwiches, carrot sticks, and trail mix are personal favorites, although, and I'm not sure why, everything tastes delicious when you've been out in the sun for a few hours... Am I right?

Favorite food at the beach is lemonade - so important to stay hydrated in the sun, and nothing says summer like lemonade!

We love to prepare lots of different kinds of salads to take. We take a couple of kinds of mayo-less pasta salads, fruit salads. Cold fried chicken and whatever else looks good on the salad bar. We have crackers and granola. Lots of drinks. Everything we take is meant to be served cold.

There's nothing like a day at the beach with a good book, some ice cold water and watermelon. A good peanut butter and jelly sandwich for the kids is always fun. I also enjoy munching on almonds, granola, or trail mix. Dried fruit is always fun, and easier to maintain freshness in the sun than fresh fruit sometimes. Throw in some sunscreen and an umbrella, and you have an unbeatable day of fun in the sun!!! :)

I love visiting the lake during the summer and we always have great food when we are there. Some of my favorite foods to take out by the water include: fresh fruit, chopped veggies with either hummus or veggie dip, pop chips, crakers and cheese platter, and of course who can forget the water and the drinks! Summer is a great time to eat excellent food and have fun!

For a short trip, I bring trail mix (365 banana chips, chocolate chips, raw walnuts, raw pecans, raw almonds, dried cranberries), fruit (watermelon, grapes, berries, bananas), Clif bars, Annie's Sour Cream & Onion Bunny Crackers, Izze grapefruit and plenty of water. For longer trips, I would also include sandwiches or chicken salad w/ crackers, cheese cubes or string cheese and yogurt.

I love the beach! We take lots of water and snacks that are non-perishable for the little ones. Fresh fruit is also great and no worrying about getting sticky! Great suggestions from eveyone also - Thanks!!
