I always take some grapes, waters, sweet potato chips with creamy hummus to dip them in. String cheese for the kids, salami, and wine (maybe rose) if we are really having fun!

Coconut Water!! Preferable a fresh young coconut, but O.N.E. is pretty great too. Also, baby watermelons, since they make for great swimming caps.

I like to take to the beach or pool for me and my family the following: Honest Kids juice pouches, water in our reusable water bottles, grapes, Annie's fruit snacks and Annie's cheddar bunnies. I am so glad that there is a grocery store like Whole Foods due to my son's sensitivity to the artificial food coloring Red40. Its nice to find alternatives for him that taste great and have no Red40 in them. Thank you so much from him and me!

Growing up, we always had P&J and turkey "sand"wiches at the beach along with lots of fruit, lemonade and water. There's nothing else like enjoying a sandy snack after lots of body surfing and shell finding!

For some reason, plums are a food I associate with a day at the beach. When I was little, they were always in the cooler for our beach days while on vacation. I think they were a good choice by my mom bc they were small enough for little hands and SO sweet. To rinse of the juice, all you had to do was go in the ocean.:)

it's not the beach unless there's lemonade, seltzer water, grapes, oranges, strawberries, and pistachios. all that...and a bag of chips.

My family and I love the beach! I have a two year old who is a total water bug and cries when we have to leave the ocean! It is so awesome to see the absolute joy in his eyes playing in the water and the sand. It makes all of your troubles go away to watch the innocence and pure happiness of a child! We love to bring Annie's cheddar bunnies, dried fruit, lots of water (to wash the salt and sand out of his mouth!) trail mix, and cereal bars.

To the beach I'd bring along a lunch of curry chicken salad on pita and the "superfoods" wheatberry salad from your salad bar. A couple pieces of fruit like banana, strawberries and papaya, and some granola bars and we'll be all set!

Always take lots of water. My favorite beach foods are crunchy - chips & granola bars, but it's nice to have juicy summer fruits too.
