When going to the pool, lake or the beach I always pack fresh fruits and lots of them. Cantaloupe cut up. Peaches and plums. Strawberries too. That is how my mom packed for my brother & I and that is what I now do for my 2 kids. And because it is so good and my kids love the flavor, we always have multi-grain pita chips and hummus. Mmmmm.

I would take a natural sunscreen or Virgin Coconut Oil to protect my family's skin, beach towels, hat, umbrella, plenty of water, fresh fruit and veggies! :o) Thank you...

Can't make it to the beach this summer but I would certainly find a good use for all of these items in my own back yard! Lovely!

My yummy beach foods are slicing up apples, peaches, oranges, apricots and bananas add some grapes and cherries then I put each in separate zip lock bags and freeze. I also bring baby carrots, cut celery sticks, a jar of peanut butter and those wrapped cheese sticks too. Pop everything in a cooler with some bottled water and by the time everybody is hungry the fruit is perfectly thawed and ready to munch.

The best foods to take to the beach are fresh and crisp. I love taking fresh fruits, like frozen grapes, melon and berries, and chips are a must. For lunch, wraps are always great and staying hydrated is important so lots of water and a cold fizzy drink is always refreshing with lunch. Love living close to the beach and enjoying the tastes of summer!

I love to bring a stack of sandwiches (preferably baloney and cheese or turkey and cheese) - comfort foods :) then I pack them back in the bread bag - so it looks like your just hauling around a loaf of bread, but in reality....It's a whole day's worth of sandwiches and....after coming out of the water, starving and hungry with sand all over you....they truly will taste like a "sand - which" with a little crunch to them! lol.

I love to go to the state parks as we travel for ministry reasons, it's our way of relaxing by a lake with our two dogs Abby and Ruby. I have just started a new way of eating healthy a year ago and lost 28 pounds so far and I feel great. I am also taking better care of my skin with organics and see a improvement, people think I am 20 when I am 41.

I love to bring a cooler with ice so that I can pack up one of my homemade raw kefir smoothies! I use homemade kefir, bananas, organic strawberries, organic blueberries, local raw honey, goji berries, and a dash of flaxseed oil! It keeps my kids and me going for hours and is packed with antioxidants! For an extra treat - and for the hubby, there's also sandwiches and watermelon. Mmm.. :)
