Always have a round of "Boucheron" goat cheese with some fig spread and crackers. Organic fruits such as cherries, blueberries and strawberries ...summer is definitely berry & melon season. Staples would be the fig spread, TLC crackers ....tuna salad is always great in summer and I like the "tongo" type solid white tuna ...makes a great tuna salad or mixed in with Annie's White Cheddar mac & cheese! A staple drink on hand would be the Cruz "Organic" lemonades and my fav is the Strawberry lemonade. OK, now sit back with an iced lemonade, cheese & crackers and a "fruit tart" from the brand new bakery or the Pie Guy's Banana Cream pie. Enjoy you summer and stay cool :D

Oysters are always such a hit at a summer party! We have all had them raw on the half shell, to spice it up I add a nice mignonette bar featuring some global flavors. If I'm grilling my friends love it when I throw a few oysters on, this saves shucking time and adds a new dimension. It's best to use a larger oyster for this application. As soon as they pop open I remove the top shell and add a dab of compound butter to each one (unsalted butter, tarragon, hotsauce). As soon as it melts take them off, arrange them on a platter with rock salt to keep them upright and pass them around.

For parties with little ones in attendance, I put out a few melamine bowls filled with toddler-friendly snacks like organic cereal and Annie's Cheddar Bunnies. Parents can use miniature scoops to fill tiny paper cups with a mix for each child.
