I have already collected most of the Putumayo Children's music as I'm a preschool teacher. I would like to start collecting some of this fine music for myself as well as my adult children. I've done my best to always introduce them to a wide variety of music and this CD would be a great addition to my collection. BTW, my brother is an avid soccer fan and I'm an avid music fan so who knows? :)

I celebrate the World Cup 2010 for several reasons. I demonstrated for Madiba's freedom for years in the U.S., all those years ago and to see how far South Africa has come in so little time is truly inspiring. Madiba truly showed the world the power of one. This World Cup 2010, newly heralded as recognition of the Rainbow Nation, is positive evidence of Madiba's ideas and those of several others from several nations, over a span of generations, that dreams can become reality. Because of my awareness of the plight of the South African people during apartheid, (capitalization refused), I naturally became familiar with African music, with which I fell in love. To date, it is my favorite. Sports and music know no cultural bounds, the other reasons I celebrate this World Cup. We all come together and celebrate our bonds and differences in a joyful manner. I celebrate the music and also celebrate those with the love of this sport.

I'm a huge fan of international music; I own many Putumayo CDs and rotate them on a regular basis. I've loved African music since childhood, and this clip of Bholoja’s “Mbombela” is beautiful. I'm also a football fan (I used to live down the street from Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu stadium), and my students and I watched part of the first World Cup match together on Friday. I don't have TV at home, but I love the World Cup spirit and will definitely be listening to my Putumayo collection while whipping up some international vegetarian cuisine in honour of the occasion!

I love Putamayo and their efforts to introduce us all to music from around the world. (I think I wore out the Islands cd I played it so much.) Often it is the use of musical instruments that are not even known to the average American listener that makes the sounds different. (I love the kora.) I don't care if I don't understand the words it is everything else that makes it special. thanks for the free download.

Very easy music to listen to. The music you hear from the broadcast of the World Cup is very raucous. Germany looked very good today. The Black African nations are doing very well so far. I think this is the first time nations of the world have come to Africa for such an event. It was great to see South Africa come away with a tie on Friday. I found all the comments to be very interesting.

I will be celebrating World Cup by watching as many games as I can with family and any friends who want to come on by. Maybe I'll try my hand at making some basics from Zimbabwe - turn out perfect when my father makes it but mine not so good.

I love their music very much. Thnx to Putumayo to compile this beautiful musics. South African music survive by apartheid regime by their militancy. in side they already (done) divided, it takes time to be reunite. Hope this huge event can fulfill the reunification, also to face for the good future of South Africans. FIFA too much profiteering from this event.

Play the vuvuzela iPHone app while watching the teams I'm rooting for: USA & Brazil! :) I have a variety of Putumayo music already, but only one "African" theme - which is African Playground which I purchased for my 4-yr old son who is now also a World Cup fan. So we play this music very often during our errand runs! Love the spirit of the World Cup! Love WHole Foods of course!!
