I'm celebrating by gathering with my all my friends, who happen to be a very multinational group, and we'll all be waving our respective flags while we watch the games. All of the activity will take place over food, of course.

I'm Italian and I definitely do not fit the stereotipe of soccer crazy fan. But when the Word Cup is on, I'm glued to the TV. I'm DC, and the best way, to enjoy the game for an expat is with friends, food and music (music following the soccer game, because while your team plays, you follow in religious silence!)... As for music, this year I think we will definitely play some African music (Sutu Kun, Ekibobo, Papa Noel, Les Nubiens), but there will be plenty of space for Italian of course (e.g.Max Gazze', Daniele Silvestri, Neffa, Tiromancino, Negramaro, etc. etc.)!

Please Mr. wholefoodsmarket, I would love to buy my South African Rusks and Amarula at one of your stores to eat and drink while I watch the World Cup Soccor games. ...if only we had a WholeFoodsMarket in the Wyomissing, PA or West Reading, PA area?.. please build us a store? Beggingly, Elaine PS: FYI, Amarula tastes like PA Dutch eggnog!! The natives of SA even make a local beer from the fruits of the Marula tree.

Can't wait to finally watch some real Fussball (soccer) again! My son collects the stickers in his Panini album and I get to hang our German flag in front of our house. International music is always good. I like Rai (Algerian/Moroccan pop music). Go team Germany (and the other teams as well). Let's watch some great matches!

Saturday can't come soon enough! We love soccer in our house and all have our favorite soccer jerseys. My husband has Germany from the last World Cup, my baby son has Brazil and Argentina which were gifts from my dad and sister and I have the good old USA. I would love to be in Cape Town but listening to the music would be great too!

I'll be celebrating it by actually watching and keeping track of what's happening with the various teams. May listen to some Johnny Clegg & Savuka. Then of course there's always Hugh Masekala.

I will no doubt be listening to my seven-year-old son try to blow the vuvuzela that my brother-in-law brought back for him from South Africa several weeks ago, whilst we watch the game. It requires far more air than he seems to have, so I may be just watching him go round and round in circles, trying to blow into it with hugely puffed cheeks! We love Putamayo CDs. They are our car traveling music! Would love to win a few CDs. That would be awesome.

Wow! The song sets the mood of celebration. This is the first World Cup on African soil!!! When I watch the games, I will have a smile on my face, and joy in my heart. The stadium will be a big melting pot of diverse people and cultures. I am so happy that Nelson Mandela is alive to witness this historic moment.
