Heavenly Candy Company Issues Nationwide Recall of "Peanut Bliss" Candy Because it May Contain Peanuts Contaminated with Salmonella from the PCA Texas Plant

February 14, 2009 --- Heavenly Candy Company is voluntarily recalling all of its bulk "Peanut Bliss" candy sold nationwide on or prior to 2/14/09 because it may contain peanuts that have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

The product being recalled is:

Heavenly Candy Peanut Bliss (Bulk)
PLU: 9157

The potential for contamination was noted when a nationwide recall was announced by the Peanut Corporation of America (PCA)'s Plainview, Texas plant, one of the peanut suppliers for "Peanut Bliss".

No known illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this product.
