Route 11 Recalls Sour Cream And Chive Potato Chips (potential salmonella contamination)

Dec. 22 - Route 11 Potato Chips is joining other companies in recalling select products due to potential salmonella contamination.

Earlier Wednesday, Giant Food Stores announced it was removing from sale Dieffenbach's Sour Cream & Onion Kettle Chips and Herr's Smoked Chipotle flavored Kettle Cooked Potato Chips due to potential contamination.

Route 11 announced a recall of its sour cream and chive potato chips.

The products included in the recall are:

  • Route 11 Sour Cream & Chive Potato Chips, 2 oz., UPC 4493500062 with Best by Dates between 2-9-17 and 6-10-17
  • Route 11 Sour Cream & Chive Potato Chips, 6 oz., UPC 4493500061 with Best by Dates between 2-9-17 and 6-10-17

Giant said it has not received any reports of illnesses. Customers who have purchased the products should discard any unused portions and bring their purchase receipt to Giant for a full refund.
