We've decided to have a competition and you get to be the judge!

Our departments are going head-to-head in a grilled cheese battle. Each department (that's right, all 9 of them!) will be coming up with what they think is the best version of this tasty sandwich.

What's better than free grilled cheese samples? More free stuff! Your ballot to vote also does double-duty as an entry to win a gift basket at the end of the competition!

Date Night: Argentina
Saturday, August 2nd
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Cooking Classroom, $30 per person

This class will be taught by Chef Jeremy. The cuisine of Argentina is heavily influenced by European cuisine, especially that of Spain and Italy, however the Argentines put a spin on these types of dishes and make them all their own. Argentina is particularly famous for its beef and its asado, an elaborate meal of grilled meats, is one of their most important culinary traditions. If you’ve ever thought about skipping the trek to a restaurant and instead doing something just as impactful, but more appealing to the senses, look no further. This class is chock full of cooking tips, demos and of course, delicious food. Chef Jeremy will turn the routine of dinner into a fun and meaningful evening during which you can enjoy your company as well as a fantastic four-course meal without having to stress about the cooking. Pre-registration is required. On the menu:

·         Yerba Matte Hot Beverage

·         Steak Salad with Baby Greens and Chimichurri

·         Tucumanas - Argentine Style Empanadas

·         Asado – A Grilled Feast of Premium Beef

·         Pistachio and Rum Cake

Pre-registration for classes and select events required. See class description for specific instructions. Registration required no later than 48 hours prior to the class date. If you cannot attend your class, you must call Whole Foods Market Lake Calhoun and cancel at least 48 hours in advance. You will receive classroom credit for the amount of the class to be used no later than three months from the date of the class that you registered for. Anti-Inflammatory Cooking
Sunday, August 3rd
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Cooking Classroom, $30 per person

This class will be taught by Chef Jeremy. We can live better, stronger lives by learning more about what fuels us: our food. Limiting certain ingredients in your diet can be a great way to reduce or control inflammation. Why? Many food ingredients contain allergens that may have a cumulatively toxic effect on your body and may hurt your digestive health over time. We will uncover the ten most common culprits and discuss how to do a self-analysis to determine if or how they affect you. This class is gluten free and can be vegetarian or vegan upon request and has hands on opportunities as desired. Pre-registration is required. On the menu:

·         Spiced Apple Quinoa Porridge

·         Strawberry & Pineapple Smoothie

·         Salad of Kale and Carrots with Adzuki Beans
