The world of cacao is rich with mystique and its hold on us mirrors a deep and timeless love affair. Yet, what lies behind this complex pleasure, and how does it come to us? Join us for a multi-media presentation and a chocolate tasting to explore and enjoy its wonders.
In this engaging, interactive, hands-on session, you'll learn
• how chocolate is made from tree to bar
• what factors contribute to its flavor
• the key environmental and social issues involved in its production
• how to pair it with other foods and beverages
• how to decode information and terminology on product labels
We’ll also take you through a guided tasting of an incredible line up of chocolates to help you experience and savor the full potential of chocolate, including Chocolove, Equal Exchange, Navitas Taza, Tcho, Theo and Whole Foods, and house-made vegan mousse cup.
This event will stimulate all of your senses, and indulge your curiosity and palate. Participants will receive a tasting guide and samples to take home.
