Fasting and low allergy vegan diets have been used to treat severe arthritic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis. While the most common kind of arthritis (osteoarthritis) is related to “wear and tear” of the joint, foods can definitely aggravate this condition. Come learn what common foods and diet patterns can aggravate joint pain, and what foods are anti-inflammatory and can reduce joint pain. Kirk will also discuss the role of certain supplements, such as curcumin, glucosamine and others, and their role in reducing joint inflammation.  Lastly, the health of the gut will be discussed and its role in aggravating and maybe even being a cause of joint pain. You will be given Kirk’ BED diet (basic elimination diet) and be instructed on how to use it to help relieve your joint pain.  Kirk will demonstrate a simple ginger, pomegranate fried rice that will soothe your aching joints and a “Dairy-Free” “milk” shake with anti-inflammatory ingredients like a animal-free glucosamine powder and plant-source omega-3 fatty acids. You will also receive a copy of Kirk’s book “Staying Healthy in the Fast Lane” whose theme is the prevention and reversal of age-related (chronic) diseases, such as diabetes, by the use of a low allergy, anti-inflammatory,  unprocessed plant-based diets.
