It's Whole Foods Market Chapel Hill's Cooking Series - Designed for aspiring foodies! Kids will work with our expert staff and experience an array of foods from around the world through hands-on learning. Recommended for ages 4-10. Cost is $5/kid, per class with all proceeds going to the Whole Kids Foundation. Each class has it's own theme/topic and must be registered for separately by calling (919) 968-1983 or visiting our customer service desk. 

Class Schedule:

June 15, 2:30pm: Cookie Decorating for Dad!
Learn tips from our bakery team's cake decorators on how to use frosting and candy to decorate your own 10" cookie! You can share it with your Dad as a Father's Day gift that he will love (but if you don't, we wont tell).

June 22: Making Breakfast
They say it's the most important meal of the day and our Culinary Chef and Demo Specialist Dominique is going to show you why! At this class you'll learn how to make a delicious and nutritious breakfast that will start your day off just right!

June 29: Kids’ Sushi-Making Class with Genji Sushi
There's no one better to show you how to make a sushi roll than our own masters, the Genji Sushi chefs! Join them as well as seafood expert Mike for an explorations of all things sushi, complete with hands-on rolling.

July 13: Makin’ Tacos with Prepared Foods
They're delicious, they're crunchy and they're pretty stinkin' good for you too! Chef Jeff is going to show you how easy it is to make tacos out of ingredients you probably already have at home. 

July 20: “Dips Ahoy!” Dip-Making Class with Jennifer Lewis (Health Starts Here)
Plain hummus and guac are nice but there are so many more great dips out there. At this class you'll make three different dips (pizza dip, healthy ranch and cookie dough dip), sample them with veggies and fruit and have some to take home as well. 

July 27: “Nice To Meat You!” with the Meat Department
Join our amazing butchers for this hands-on class and experience new flavors and techniques for making one of the world’s most loved foods – meatballs! 

August 3: Raw Dessert Treats with Jennifer Lewis (Health Starts Here)
The raw food movement is sweeping the nation. This no-cooking class will give you some hands-on experience making all raw sweet treats.  We will be making stuffed dates, raw shortbread cookie sandwiches and power snack bars.  

August 10: Kids Cheese-Tasting Class with a Real Cheesemonger!
Calling all aspiring cheese snobs! Our Cheesemonger Tyler will lead kids in an exploration of all things cheese, including food pairings and special samplings for the adventurous.

2. Come between 5-7 pm on Thursday for a taste of our featured wines or beers. 
3. Buy a bottle or glass of wine to enjoy at your table.
4. Receive tableside service! (We will cork your wine, provide a wine chiller, set wine glasses and make you a complimentary cheese plate) 

*Walk up guests are welcome, however, tables and complimentary pairing plates are for reservations only since they are prepared in advance.If there is inclement weather, guests are welcome to sit in the cafe instead of on the patio.
