Whole Foods Market and the Do Something Reel Film Festival join with Wolverine State Brewing Company to present the movie The Love of Beer and benefit Slow Food Huron Valley.
From farm to consumption, women are fighting their way to become some of the most influential people in the craft beer world. The Love of Beer follows inspirational women as they struggle to end stereotypes, handle their rising fame, and raise families in a 21 and over lifestyle. They’re not doing it for feminism or equality—they’re doing it for the love of beer.
E.T. Crowe, a.k.a. the Ann Arbor Beer Wench, is part owner of Wolverine State Brewing Company and passionate about the role of women in the world of craft brewing. Following the movie, she will share her perspective on the state of the craft brewing industry in Michigan, as well as give a quick lesson in "why lagers?" Participants can enjoy complimentary samples of some Wolverine flagship brands: Wolverine Premium, Dark and Amber Lagers; and The Gulo Gulo, the company's ground breaking India Pale Lager. E.T. will be available to lead brewery tours and answer questions.
Tickets are available at the door. One hundred percent of the proceeds benefit Slow Food Huron Valley. Seating is limited. No age restriction for viewing the movie; must be 21 or older to sample or purchase beer. Cash bar. Beer not included in admission.
Doors open at 6:30pm.
