At exactly 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, every Whole Foods Market around the globe will use traditional Italian Parmigiano tools to simultaneously crack open the wheels of cheese and break a Guinness World record. Take a photo with the giant wheel of cheese during the event and post to Instagram #parmcrack for a chance to win a $250 gift card!

The Whole Planet Foundation is a non-profit organization that helps entrepreneurs around the world, including right here in the United States. Through microloans, the Whole Planet Foundation helps raise families out of poverty by providing the funding they need to start or grow their own business. Today, 5% of the day’s sales will be donated to fund these loans. Enjoy a day filled with sampling and information about the loan recipients and their native countries. We wrap up the day with a store-wide sampling of foods from around the globe from 5-7 p.m.

Farmer’s Pick is our version of a CSA .CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and is a way for people to directly support local farms. Your Farmer’s Pick membership would allow you to support multiple farms in our area, and receive a variety of produce without visiting each farm. Some produce will come from farms that only grow a limited quantity and can’t support our regular customer base, but will be exclusively available to the Farmer’s Pick membership. This program last for 10 weeks, and there will be two days in the season to pay 5 weeks at a time (July 2nd and August 6th). 

Most produce will come from Lancaster Farm Fresh Co-Op in Lancaster, PA>
