5% Day benefiting Beecher's Flagship Foundation
Wednesday, September 18th
12:00 AM
Whole Foods Market Seattle Locations (except Interbay)

Be sure to save some shopping for Wednesday, September 18!  We'll be donating 5% of the day's sales to the Beecher's Flagship Foundation.  The Flagship Foundation is dedicated to working to change the way America eats by empowering kids, families and teachers with information and tools to make healthy food choices for life.

The Flagship Foundation provides "Pure Food Kids" workshops free to schools (focusing on 4-5th grade students), homeschool, after-school and summer programs, as well as parent groups in the Seattle and New York City metro areas.

The workshops use fun, hands-on and interactive “food detective” challenges to spark curiosity about what’s really in the foods we eat, teach people how to read nutrition labels and ingredient lists and raise awareness about how food companies are marketing to us.

Kids Day of Service @ Olivia Park School Garden
Thursday, September 19th
4:00 PM - 6:30 PM
Olivia Park Elementary School, Free

Calling all kids and families to join us for a fun family volunteer project at the Olivia Park Elementary School Garden in South Everett. We're excited to roll up our sleeves to help harvest and maintain the garden. This will be a family-friendly, 2-hour project with tasks for everyone ages 2 and up!

Below, please find a volunteer job description and a list of items that may be helpful to bring on the day of the project. It's our goal to make your experience fun, uplifting, and kid-friendly. This is an opportunity for customers, team members, and kids to partner together in service to our community. We'll have plenty of tasks and activites on-site for little ones whose attention may wander. The best part is being all together!

After the garden party, we will all have a "make a rainbow" dinner inside the school. This is where we'll have a magical build-your-own salad-bar for kids and grown-ups, plus all the fixings. Join us in modeling the fun of "eating a rainbow" in honor of the Whole Kids Foundation! Please join us for a fun-filled afternoon of service and inspiration as we celebrate healthy communities and healthy eating together!

Thank you again and look forward to seeing you soon!
