Planting Trees with Kids, Volunteers, and Whole Foods Market!
Wednesday, September 11th
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Knox Parks - 75 Ridgefield Street, Hartford, CT, Volunteer
Calling all kids, families and volunteers! Join us Wednesday, September 11, as we honor life and celebrate our community by planting trees! The Whole Foods Market at Bishops Corner, the Whole Foods Market Center store (Blue Black Square) in West Hartford, along with Whole Foods Market in Glastonbury invite you to join us for a fun, fall volunteer event. From 9am to 1pm, we’re planting 33 trees on Canterbury Street in Hartford. It’s a big job and we're excited to roll up our sleeves to help with this project, along with our partners at KNOX Park Foundation and The Hartford. This will be a family-friendly project with tasks for every age, encouraging children to give back to their community!
And we won’t let volunteers go hungry! Whole Foods Market will have a jam packed build-your-own salad-bar for lunch, plus all the fixings, in honor of the Whole Kids Foundation.
It's our goal to make your experience fun, uplifting, and kid-friendly. This is an opportunity for our community to partner together.
