Our “Fromage in February” series features Domestic and Import Cheeses offered in two separate classes.  Joe, our Specialty Team Leader, will cover cheese basics like storing, serving and pairing. During this Domestic Cheese Class, come and learn about some of the great domestic cheese makers and the cheeses they produce. You will sample some delicious domestic cheeses and bring some home as well!

 

Call customer service at 952-830-3500 or stop by the customer service desk in store to RSVP.  Space is limited, so pre-registration for each class is required to secure your spot at least 24 hours in advance.  $10 is also required at the time of your RSVP.  The payment is non-refundable, but can be applied to store credit if cancellation occurs at least 48 hours in advance.

This class will be taught by Chef Jeremy. The flavors of India are robust and flavorful. Techniques perfected over hundreds of years combined with intensely aromatic spices, unique ingredients and storied cultural heritage. These are a few of the reasons why India draws people from all over the world into its amazing food culture. Explore the world of Indian cuisine with us as we travel halfway across the world to experience food in a way that no other culture in the world could possibly emulate. If you’ve ever thought about skipping the trek to a restaurant and instead doing something just as impactful, but more appealing to the senses, look no further. This class is chock full of cooking tips, demos and of course, delicious food. The Whole Kids Club presents...Spooky Sweets and Scary Treats

This class will be taught by Chef Ani. Gather round goblins, witches and ghouls, it’s Halloween time! It’s time for tricks, treats and delicious creepy snacks, to show off your costume, and to learn the history of Halloween. In this fun class, we’ll whip up lots of delicious things to eat without icky artificial coloring or high fructose corn syrup. We’ll whip up brains, monster teeth, a graveyard, and other foods only a mummy could love. This class is open to kids 5-12 and are drop off classes- kids only, please! Vegetarian options are available and costumes are encouraged! Come ready to cook! Pre-registration is required.

Peak Pick: The Great Pumpkin

This class will be taught by Chef Ani. Chances are, you’re already planning to cut into one pumpkin this season, and it’ll be sitting on your porch sporting a ghoulish glow. Large carving pumpkins may be best out of doors, but small sugar pumpkins belong in your kitchen- and in your belly. Similar to butternut squash, pumpkin is easy to cook, packed full of vitamins and content to be both a sweet and savory ingredient. We’ll discuss the history of the pumpkin and its importance to colonial America, how to pick a fine pumpkin and how to crack it open safely. Additional areas of focus include how to make a delicious savory bread pudding, how to make a pumpkin seed pesto and how to make a crispy croquette. This class has hands on opportunities as desired and vegetarian friendly, with vegan and gluten free options upon request. Come hungry! Pre-registration is required. On the menu:
