Just in time for spring cleaning, all during the month of April, we will collect gently used shoes for the Shoeman Water Project. This non-profit organization exports donated shoes to over 75 countries around the world including Kenya, Haiti and South America. Shoes are then sold to raise money to drill water wells, install water purification systems, repair pumps, and train local residents to operate and maintain pumps.

Whole Foods Market gives 10 cents per bag to customers who re-use shopping bags for their purchased groceries. Customers have the option to take that off their bill, or donate it to a local nonprofit organization. This program reduces our impact on the environment and supports local nonprofit groups. During the months of April, May and June, for each bag you reuse for groceries at our store you have the option to take 10 cents off the bill or donate that dime back to The Green Center.  Reuse five bags for groceries and donate 50 cents to support quality youth environmental education in St. Louis!

The Green Center is an arts and environmental education organization dedicated to helping people understand the natural world through hands-on experiences, restoring native habitats, and encouraging artistic expression inspired by nature.
