Rebecca Gould DC, IHS, Doctor of Chiropractic, Internal Health Specialist

The thyroid gland is involved in rate of metabolism and many other body processes.  Fatigue, bowel problems, hair loss, weight loss or gain and rapid heart rate are just a few possible signs of a thyroid imbalance.  Nutritional deficiencies, fluoride exposure, other hormonal imbalances can all affect the thyroid.  In some cases the thyroid is struggling and ordinary blood tests will not reveal a problem exists.  That's right, you can have normal thyroid blood tests and still be feeling the impact of a thyroid problem.  This class will cover the basics of thyroid health, methods of diagnosis, and how to support the thyroid with diet and lifestyle changes.

KidSmart’s Push for Pencils School Supply Drive

KidSmart’s Push for Pencils, the largest drive of its kind in Missouri, is a community-wide school supply drive which takes place every August. The movement is grassroots and includes more than 150 participating businesses, 50,000+ employees and individuals throughout our community. Each year, 500,000 essential school supplies are collected, and then directly distributed to tens of thousands of local children through the KidSmart Free Educational Supply Store. More than 90,000 local, school-aged children live in poverty and often attend school without basic supplies. Supporters of this campaign believe that every child deserves a chance to have the learning tools and educational experiences they need to succeed in school and thus throughout life. Please join us in collecting school supply items all month long for this essential program. The receptacle will be located near our exit door.
