Join the Fight Against Childhood Hunger
More than 17 million kids in the U.S. are at risk of hunger. That's nearly 1 in 4. We're partnering with Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry® Campaign to end childhood hunger in America.
4 easy ways you can help:
- For every pound of organic Fuji apples sold, a donation goes to the campaign. Together Whole Foods Market, Rainier Fruit Company and Columbia Marketing International will donate two cents for each pound of organic Fuji apples sold from 11/14 to 12/25, up to a maximum of $30,000.
- For each Whole Foods Market gift card ordered online, we'll donate $1. Valid from 11/16 to 12/31.
- You can donate online through our online ordering site and we'll match your donation, up to $25,000.
- Our vendor partners will donate 40 cents per redeemed specially marked coupons featured in The Whole Deal value guide. Arrowhead Mills, Celestial Seasonings and Terra Chips will donate 40 cents per coupon redeemed, up to a maximum of $25,000.
No Kid Hungry Campaign
The No Kid Hungry Campaign supports local youth organizations, schools, faith-based institutions, food banks and other community programs in providing meals to needy children. With our donations, they can help local groups feed even more hungry kids.
No Kid Hungry creates partnerships with anti-hunger groups, government agencies, corporate partners, and political, education and business leaders at the state and city level to break down barriers to accessing healthy food.
The campaign goals include:
- Improving access to breakfast, after-school and summer meal programs
- Helping eligible families access SNAP (formerly food stamps) and other federal programs
- Educating families about nutritious, affordable eating and cooking
