Established in 1990 in the basement of St. John’s Methodist Church, the Dedhan Food Pantry currently serves approximately 160 Dedham families each month. Approximately one-half of those served are children. The types of food distributed to clients include a variety of non-perishable pantry staples; perishable items such as frozen meat, eggs, cheese and bread; and fresh seasonal produce when available. The day to day pantry operations are supported entirely by generous and dedicated volunteers. The Dedham Food Pantry is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees.
As a company, Whole Foods Market is quite unique. Our stores are not cookie cutter big box-type stores with directives from “corporate” about how to run the business. Each of our stores has a lot of latitude in deciding the best way to operate that individual store to meet the needs of the local community. That makes community giving really special and fun.
Whole Foods Market Dedham is proud to support the Dedham Food Pantry!
