On Wednesday, September 11th at 6pm
Join Master Gardeners and Haley Paul, urban agriculture program manager for the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension in Maricopa County, for an interactive talk on how to start composting at home. Composting in the low desert of Arizona doesn’t have to be complicated. By following some basic guidelines, you can divert waste from the landfill and create a rich amendment for your vegetable garden or low-water-use landscape. You’ll be able to identify green and brown organic matter and how much of each you need for a successful compost operation. Attend the class and you will walk away with a “how to” guide on composting in the low desert and the confidence to get started!
