Summertime is on, which means that bulky clothes come off as we meet the summer heat! We all want to choose the right fuel to propel us through our workouts, and the best foods to help us recover with ease and deliciousness. When it comes to eating for fitness, timing is everything. To this end, Camille will lead a discussion about what types of foods make sense to eat and when. She’ll show how to make an easy, stress-busting Maca Pudding, made with a prized superfood harvested from the Andes Mountains. We’ll sample smoothies that include foods known for their inflammation-fighting properties, like berries, chia seeds, tart cherry juice and raw acai pulp. Finally, we’ll replenish with a nutrient-dense, protein-and complex-carbohydrate-rich pilaf that combines quinoa, kale, and sweet apricots, among other delicious plant-strong ingredients.
