It is not charity. It empowers impoverished people to change their own lives by starting or expanding a small business. With an average microloan of $162 in the developing world a woman can lift herself and her family out of poverty. The average repayment rate is 96% so the funds stay in that community helping more and more people. It is truly sustainable giving.
