Kids Cook: Sandwich Smackdown – For ages 10 to 12
9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Kids love sandwiches and in this class they go beyond the usual sandwich fare and try some updated twists to make a lineup of sure-to-be favorites in our sandwich smack down. Students learn about a variety of breads, ingredient quality, and how to roast vegetables, make homemade mayonnaise, and combine flavors to make countless variations at home. Kids will have fun making these for lunches or as part of simple summer suppers.
MENU: Barbecue Chicken & Cheddar Melt with Roasted Red Onion Mayo; Roasted Eggplant & Mozzarella Panini; Chocolate Almond Butter & Banana on Ciabatta; Bacon, Lettuce, & Heirloom Tomato Sandwich with Avocado & Homemade Garlic Aioli; Swiss & Green Apple Grilled Cheese.
