We excited to have Chef Emilio, of Emilio’s Tapas Bar Restaurant in Hillside, take over our cooking stage where he’ll be featuring Spanish specialties.
Chef Emilio was born in Granada, Spain and spent his youth working at his grandfather's bakery and tapas bar. As a young man, he completed his chef apprenticeship in hotels throughout Spain, developing a way of adapting each new cuisine to recipes for his little dishes-tapas. In 1973, when Emilio moved to the USA, he worked at various restaurants for the Lettuce Entertain You Restaurant Group. Emilio opened Lettuce’s Café Ba Ba Reba as Chef. This was Chicago’s first tapas bar.
In 1998 Emilio opened his first restaurant in Hillside, IL. This restaurant was named one of Chicago’s Ten Best New Restaurants by the prestigious Chicago Magazine. Chef will be preparing two dishes, Paella Valenciana and Datlies. Come out for some great ideas for summer entertaining and delicious samples. OFFER?
