Teens will learn how to become master chefs in a series of summer workshops. We’ll start with the basics and gradually add new skills. Drop in for one class, or sign-up for the whole summer! All skill levels are welcome. Grades 6-12.
Week 3: Intermediate/Advanced Skill Development
Tuesday, August 20th
In this class, we will venture into the store to go on a "veggie hunt", in search of new, interesting, delicious veggies students will get to pick. We will then learn how to roast veggies, one of the most delicious ways to eat them!
Wednesday, August 21st
Today's class will be about expanding your culinary minds. We will sample a variety of foods many students may have never even heard of so we can get to know foods we may - or may not - like. Students will then be rewarded for their bravery with a really fun activity - cookie decorating!
Thursday, August 22nd
In this class, students will use what they've learned to make a variety of basic, healthful dishes, that when put together, will make for a fantastic feast we will serve for ourselves and our students' families at the end of the class.
