TEEN KNIFE SKILLS AND KITCHEN BASICS – For ages 13 to 18

Teens can jump-start their cooking skills in this relaxed, fun-filled class. Instruction includes how to use knives skillfully, safely, and efficiently and the proper way to sharpen and care for them. Teens will practice proper techniques for slicing, dicing, and chopping. They’ll also learn how to make a simple vinaigrette, stir fry, make soup, prepare a classic pan sauce and make a tart crust.
MENU: Salad with Classic French Vinaigrette & Warm Goat Cheese Croutons; Potato & Leek Soup; Easy Vegetable Stir Fry; Sautéed Chicken Breast with Mushrooms & Pan Sauce; and Rustic Apple Tart.
