In June, the Veggiecation Program is getting kids in the kitchen to help prepare Cannellini Bean Dip and the Tex Mex Tomato Salad. It’s time to get your kids hands dirty … in the kitchen. Join us for our Kids Culinary Class where little chefs will be invited to help prepare Veggiecation Program recipes and sample their healthy treats. Parents will receive a copy of Veggiecation recipes created that day. Kids will leave with coloring pages, stickers and a new love for veggies.
Please register in advance at Customer Service or email Ridgewood.RSVP@wholefoods.com . Age group for this program incorporates kids from Kindergarten to 6th grade.
About Veggiecation: The Veggiecation ©Program, founded by Lisa Suriano (also a native of Ridgewood!), is a nutrition education program that introduces young children to the wonderfully delicious & nutritious world of vegetables. This is done by incorporating unique & kid-friendly vegetable preparations into fun activities & exciting experiences. By replacing food fears & resistance with ownership & positive peer pressure, your children are empowered to expand their horizons while simultaneously improving their nutritional status & knowledge
