Ecycle and Shredding Event!
10:00 AM to 3:00 PM Free of Charge
Ecycling recovers valuable materials from old electronics that can be used to make new products. As a result, we reduce greenhouse gas emissions, reduce pollution, save energy, and save resources by extracting fewer raw materials from the earth. Ecycling also protects your surroundings - safe recycling of outdated electronics promotes sound management of toxic chemicals such as lead and mercury.
We will be accepting computers, monitors, phones, fax machines, wires, cables, printers and other electronic items with a cord. We are not able to accept televisions.
We collected over 15,000 lbs of e-waste at our last ecyle event in January, a company record for all Whole Foods Market stores! We're out to break our own record on Saturday, April 17th with our fourth ecycle event. Due to sheer volume of cars, we've moved the event around the corner from the store. We'll have our truck ready to accept your e-waste in the parking lot across Towne Centre Boulevard from Gordon Biersch restaurant (this is the parking lot on the right as you enter the Annapolis Towne Centre at Parole from Riva Road). A Shred-It Truck will also be onsite at the event to offer complimentary document shredding, courtesy of our neighbors at the Annapolis Towne Centre branch of PNC Bank. Shredding your documents is a secure, and environmentally conscientious way to dispose of old documents to safeguard against identity theft. The destroyed documents, in the form of confetti-sized pieces, are transformed into recycled household paper products .
