  • Anne Arundel Community College is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Culinary Center of Annapolis at Whole Foods Market to provide culinary courses at the brand new 71,000-square-foot store in Annapolis Towne Centre in Parole.

    Hands-On Cooking Classes with AACC

    The following classes are held on Tuesday or Friday evenings from 7:00-9:00 pm:

    • Costs $70 for Anne Arundel County residents.
    • Maximum participants is 24.
    • Must be 16 years old or older to enroll.

    Are you as aspiring foodie? Want to help the chefs prep and be an integral part of the cooking class? Expand your culinary horizons through our Student Volunteer Kitchen Program. We welcome anyone with an interest in learning, meeting people and assisting in the kitchen. After four classes as a volunteer, you’ll receive a credit for a free class of your choice!

    Knife Skills, Part 1, also featuring Carving Knife Skills

    With a little guidance and a little practice in this class, you’ll be able to mince, dice, brunoise, batonnet and julienne vegetables at home like a pro! Get comfortable at the cutting board with the chef’s most important tool, learn how to select the right knife for the job at and get some valuable tips for keeping all the knives in your block sharp and well-maintained.

    Almost as much fun as eating the ice cream at your traditional diner and luncheonette was listening to the waitresses in their starched pink uniforms placing orders with the cook in their own special language and trying to figure out what in the world people were ordering. We have come a long way Baby! Come and cook with the pros at Metro Diner as they go over some of their traditional diner food in a healthier way! On the Menu: How to dress up your Burger, French Fries, Milk Shakes, French toast!

    These darling little sugar cookies, decorated to look like reindeers, are simply delightful for the holidays. Kids love shaping them and adding pretzels for antlers and bright red candies noses. Pictures will be taken for an additional fee at class time.
