Parmesan Wheel Cracking

Join us for an Amazing Parmesan Wheel Cracking with CheeseMongers Brad Daschbach & Rebecca Ledet at 2 pm sharp. They will demonstrate the ancient art of cracking open the Parmigiano Reggiano to honor the tradition and celebration behind the king of all cheeses. There is a centuries-old art to opening the cheese wheel so that the internal crystalline structure with its characteristic crumbly texture is left fully intact.
Arabella Station's cheesemongers will race each other to crack a huge parmesan wheel which measures 18 inches in diameter, 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 85 pounds. Parmesan Reggiano is aged over two years and has a subtle bite and sweet nuttiness, it's the king of all cheeses! Breaking into a wheel of our 24-month aged Parmigiano Reggiano is like "cracking open happiness."
