Community Giving
At Whole Foods Market, we are active participants in our community. We are extremely proud of our community involvement and the relationships that we continue to make each month! We have several different donation and community support programs available.
General Donation Requests
Every month we work to support our local community with donations. In most cases, we prefer to support events or organizations that contribute to one or more of the following: education, environment, food, children, sustainable agriculture, organics, or the very local community.
We ask that all donation requests be given a two month lead time for planning and coordination.

Community Support Days
Our Community Support Days are one meaningful way we give back to our community. On designated days throughout the year a total of 5% of the day's net sales are donated to local non-profit organizations. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days.
Bag Refund Donation Program
This program rewards our customers who bring their own bags by giving them a 5 cent deduction from their total bill. We also give our customers the option of electing to donate the 5 cents to a local non profit organization. We have two organizations registered as recipients at all times, and we change these over quarterly.Please mail requests directly to the store, or drop them off at our customer service desk.Call our customer service team at (510)649-1333 ext. 0 with any questions.

Join Whole Foods Market Berkeley at THE event for new and expecting parents in the East Bay. Join us for a day of education and shopping. We'll have goody bags for the first 150 families.MEET representatives from many pregnancy, birth, parenting and baby related resources including doulas, midwives, massage therapists, childbirth educators, lactation consultants, photographers and more.
LEARN by talking to experts in the birth and early parenting community, and participating in workshops.
SHOP for maternity clothes, children's items and more.

Berkeley's Crush Festival

The Annual Crush Festival is the most popular and well attended Berkeley Chamber fundraising event.
Whole Foods Market will join over 40 local wine and food vendors showing off their best to the community in an afternoon of great wine and fine food. This event is open to the public and tickets are available from the chamber.
