Bakery
Ahh. . .the smell of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies hits you when you first walk through our door. The comforting scent lures you to the Bakery where you will find other delicious goodies like the baskets of hard crusted European style breads made with pride. Peer through the glass case and see the beautifully decorated cakes that taste as good as they look. All of our bakery items are made with cage-free eggs and no artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, sweeteners, or hydrogenated fats. Don't forget to try out in house made gelato. We also provide a wide variety of kosher bakery items as well as a full service coffee bar featuring Allegro brand coffee and slushy Granitas.
Grocery
From potato chips to Asian marinade to dog food for your favorite pup, you will find it all in our Grocery department. We provide a great variety of the items you need on your regular shopping list. Our Bulk Bins have items from rice to flour to nuts; just pour or scoop the amount you want. We also carry pre-packed bulk spices which are of exceptional quality and value. For seasonal merchandise, see our tall end-of aisle displays, and if we do not have what you need on the shelf, we will gladly place a special order for you.rocery departments all over have certainly expanded to include a lot more stuff than they used to. We embrace the idea of pure food - natural and organic - in grocery as much we do in other areas of the store. We believe that you shouldn't have to read the labels to find out if you're buying real food or an artificial imitation, so we do that homework for you. When you shop with us, you won't find artificial flavors, colors, sweeteners, preservatives or those nasty trans fats. We just offer real food, pure and simple. Our grocery department is also home to a passel of products created for people on special diets. Doesn't matter if you're a diabetic, gluten-intolerant or simply choose to follow a strict vegan diet, we have a selection of flavorful products you won't find anywhere else.
Meat & Poultry
The thick steaks, the endless variety of sausages, the center cut chops.You will feel as though you have just walked into a neighborhood butcher shop. Our meat team members grind fresh chuck up to six times per day and will cut any meat to fit your needs. They look forward to talking to you about our local grass-fed beef from Harris Heritage Family Farms and local pork from Thompson Farms Smokehouse. Our meat standards include: no administration of antibiotics or supplemental growth hormones in the life of an animal and no animal by-products in feed. Our customers tell us that they can taste the difference and we hope that you too will give it a try and tell us what you think.
Prepared Foods
Sometimes it is easier to let someone else do the cooking. Whether you need a full meal to go, or a side dish to enhance your home-cooked meal, the Prepared Foods department has plenty to choose from. We have a hot food and salad bar with items cooked in-store daily. Our "by-the-pound" bars includes pasta & cold salads, as well as items that can easily be reheated like soup, sides, and meats. Our Pizza Station features calzones, slices, and whole pies baked fresh in our clay pizze oven, and we offer whole rotisserie chickens with a variety of seasonings. If you are in a hurry and looking for a great deal pick up one of our Value Meals-entree and salad to feed a family of 4 for only $14.99. Right next door you can check out our fresh sushi and sashimi made fresh while you watch. We also provide catering so please let us know if you are having an office party, family gathering, or neighborhood BBQ, and we will put together a delicious spread for you and your guests.
Produce
A juicy peach, sweet corn, crisp apples. . .just the mention of these items evokes memories of different seasons. When you walk through the produce department you will find racks of fruits and vegetables from all over the world and right here at home. We feature products from local growers like Sweetwater Growers, Crystal Organics, Lane Packing Company, and Byne Blueberry Farms. We also strive to provide you with a variety of organically grown produce. Our floral and garden center offers bouquets and plants suitable for every occasion, as well as Farmer D. Organics Compost and starter plants for you to grow your own at home.
Seafood
The glistening scales, the hard shells of clams, and the pink salmon steaks. . .our Seafood case is a seafood lover's buffet. Our choices are as limitless as the ocean and are flown in fresh from around the world as well as from nearby coastal fisheries. All of our seafood is under close scrutiny from the farm or boat all the way to our seafood case. We build partnerships with farmers and fishermen that are committed to your health, the environment and the integrity of our oceans, and we source seafood domestically and locally whenever possible. Because we have been HACCP certified to grade our own fish, we can bring it all to you quickly and safely. We have partnered with the Marine Stewardship Council in order to ensure sustainable fishing practices, and we aren't afraid to buck standard industry practices that we find questionable-like using artificial preservatives to boost water weight and extend shelf life, or carbon monoxide to enhance color. Our Seafood team members are also known as friendly fishmongers and look forward to assisting you. Visit our soup bar where we carry hot seafood soups for you to take out or enjoy in our cafe.
Specialty
We are proud of the over 300 selections of cheese that we carry in our Specialty department. From hard to soft and pungent to mild cheeses, we will be happy to educate you on the variety of shapes, colors and flavors that you will find in the Specialty department. We know that we can't have cheese without wine, and know that our rows and rows of bottles in this department will call your name. Our knowledgeable staff is always on hand to help you select the most suitable wine for any occasion. We also invite you tocheck out our wide selection of local and international beers, as we carry some of the more unusual labels, and take advantage of the 'pick six' beer program where you can mix and match a six pack. We also offer a chocolate table overflowing with bars, truffles, and baking chocolate. Our olive bar offers an assortment of olives, pickled onions and peppers, which pair perfectly with our charcuterie meats sliced to your preference.
Whole Body
Our Whole Body department is all about quality and safety with a strong emphasis on natural. For example, the difference between supplements we sell and those you get at other places is not what's in them, but what's not in them. Lower-quality supplements add things like starch, extra gelatin, artificial colors, sweeteners and preservatives, lactose, unnecessary fillers and hydrogenated fats - none of which you will find in anything Whole Body sells. The same high standards are applied to our personal care products. We encourage our vendor partners to use plant-based and naturally-derived ingredients, pure essential oil fragrances, gentle preservatives and non-petroleum ingredients. And, we do not allow any animal testing for any of our personal care products, ever. In addition, we've created a set of Premium Body Care Standards that raises the bar still further. We're hopeful that this will encourage the body care industry as a whole to formulate products with higher standards. All products that meet our Premium standard are clearly marked for easy selection. So, when it comes to insisting on quality, we don't settle for second best.
