Red Fire Farm CSA

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture which is a model for sustainable farming and local eating.  Individuals buy into a farm at the start of the growing season and in exchange receive a share of the farm's harvest each week throughout the season.  The Brighton store will proudly host a distribution location for Red Fire Farm (Granby, MA) for the second year this coming summer and fall.  Red Fire Farm is currently signing up CSA members.  Pick ups will take place on Friday afternoons in our parking lot from 3:30pm to 7:00pm beginning in mid-June.  For more information and to sign up, contact Red Fire Farm directly.

Location

Our store straddles the line between the Town of Brookline and the City of Boston. We are located on Washington Street between Commonwealth Avenue and Beacon Street just outside Brookline's Washington Square. The Green Line "B" Washington stop is just past our parking lot; the Washington Square stop on the Green Line "C" is only a few blocks away.

About Our Store

We can't wait for you to see our store! We've got the best selection of fresh fruits and vegetables- both organic and conventional and all-natural grocery products including bulk grains, beans, cereals, and more. Our prepared foods department includes a wonderful sushi bar, hot food and soup bar, hot meals for you to carry home, plus a tempting array of other ready-to-eat foods. You'll find a tempting selection of baked goods made in-store and from our Bread & Circus Bakehouse in Medford and local vendors.

Our store also has a world-class cheese department with fine specialty products, bulk coffeee beans, flowers, supplements, bodycare and a lot more than we can mention here. Store Team Leader: Don Mattson

Hi and welcome to the official website of the Brighton store. My name is Don Mattson and I am the new Store Team Leader of one of the coziest, most well-established stores in the region.

Here’s a little information about myself. I have been a Whole Foods Market team member since 1993 and have worked in 6 different stores over the course of my career with the company. I started out as a Team Leader in the Produce dept in Newton, before moving up to Associate Store Team Leader in the Wellesley store. I also helped to lead the Bedford and Fresh Pond stores before becoming the Store Team Leader of the Prospect Street store in Cambridge. I loved the close-knit family atmosphere of the small Cambridge store and hope to foster a similar environment in Brighton. I look forward to serving the loyal customers who have been shopping at this store for many years. We hope to execute several new retail concepts and upgrades in the coming year as well as provide the highest level of customer service possible. Please do not hesitate to say “hi” the next time you are in the store.
