Chicago Botanic Garden hosts this beer and wine tasting event on six select Wednesdays in their Regenstein Fruit & Vegetable Garden. Whole Foods Market will be on site along with other chefs demonstrating creative ways to incorporate or pair the tasted beverages with food. - Meet and Eat Local Chef Series: Eric Hammond of Va Pensiero

Whole Foods Market Evanston North continues its guest chef series with local favorite Eric Hammond of Van Pensiero. Chef Hammond’s rustic preparations reflect the authentic Italian cuisine for which Va Pensiero is known. For this special class he will prepare a variety of custards, both sweet and savory, and paired with delicious wines. It will be a perfect summertime activity and rare opportunity for one-on-one time with a nationally celebrated chef. Registration is required at Customer Service. Kids will attend once a week for five weeks as we teach them the fundamentals of the kitchen. Classes include instruction on measuring, chopping, cooking, and kitchen safety. With each class, we will focus on one of the five basic food groups. This is a perfect summer activity for little ones who are interested in cooking. Please register early as spaces fill up fast. - Top Ten Summer Wine Party

We'll be sampling all of the wines from our Top Ten Wine program as well as yummy cheeses and hors d'oeuvres. These wines are a great value without sacrificing a drop of quality. Whole Foods market has lists of their products to assist you with your special dietary needs such as Gluten Free, Dairy Free, or Wheat Free. Concierge Jean will be happy to give you a tour of the store to help you locate what you need or you can ask for the list at the customer service desk.

Kids Cooking Classes and Birthday Parties
- Whether for a birthday party, backtoschool celebration, or scout/brownie visit, our parties entice and excite the pickiest eater! We provide a fun environment for kids to cook in while learning about nutrition and kitchen safety. Party goers eat what they make and go home with goodie bags and balloons. Cancellations
To cancel a class reservation please contact Customer Service at 847-733-1600. A full refund will be credited if you cancel within 24 hours prior to the start of the class.
If a class has an insufficient number of participants, it will be canceled 24 hours prior to the start of the class. Whole Foods Market will contact you by phone regarding the cancellation. You will receive a credit for the class that can be redeemed for an in-store gift certificate or towards another class.
